Composergram

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Composergram ("the service") is provided by Esther Hargittai, an individual music educator. When you use Composergram or buy access to it, you are contracting with Esther Hargittai. Contact: estichoir@gmail.com.

1. Acceptance

By using the service, or by continuing to use it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

Composergram is an online music-history resource for teachers and pupils, presenting the lives of Classical-period composers as imagined social-media feeds, with historical facts, classroom activities and teacher materials. Teachers are responsible for supervising pupils' use in class. If you buy on behalf of a school, you confirm you are authorised to do so; individual buyers must be of legal age.

3. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. In particular you must not:

4. Intellectual property

Esther Hargittai owns the service and its content — texts, stories, activities, design, software and branding — except third-party material credited as such (e.g. historical artworks and freely licensed recordings). Buying access gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the materials for teaching within your purchase. Pupils' comments remain their own; you allow us to store and display them solely to run the service.

5. Accounts and classroom codes

Teachers must keep their passkeys and class codes confidential and are responsible for activity under them.

6. Service level

We work hard to keep Composergram available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", without implied warranties.

7. Payments, refunds and the reseller

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious misuse (including abusive comments). When access ends, classroom data may be deleted.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the previous 12 months, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions: estichoir@gmail.com.
